The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft SQL Server OLAP Services 7.0

This article was previously published under Q268358

SYMPTOMS

When the short date format is set to 'gg yy/mm/dd(ddd)' on a Japanese version of Microsoft Windows NT, and OLAP Services is used to browse date fields, the date information may be displayed incorrectly. In these cases, the year portion of the date will contain incorrect values.

CAUSE

This is due to an issue with Oleaut32.dll.

WORKAROUND

This problem does not occur with version 2.40.4513.1 and later of Oleaut32.dll. Updating this DLL to a newer version, or installing the latest Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack, should correct this problem.
