HTML Wallpaper Is Replaced by the BMP Backup Wallpaper After Daylight Saving Time Changes Take Affect (267825)

SYMPTOMS

After you start Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, the HTML wallpaper is reset to a bitmap file (.BMP) wallpaper.

This behavior occurs when Windows Millennium Edition adjusts for daylight savings time.

To work around this behavior, reset your wallpaper to return to the HTML background after daylight savings time. To do so, follow these steps:

Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.
Select the HTML background from the list of available backgrounds, or browse to the location of the HTML file.
Click OK.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
