SYMPTOMS

If you have a Pioneer DVD-303R DVD-ROM, data files can be seen as audio tracks on data CDs or DVDs. You are not able to run an application or DVD movie from the CD or DVD.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because there is an incorrect jumper setting on the DVD drive.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, verify the jumper setting on the DVD drive is not on Pin 6. Set the DVD drive at 2048 byte setting instead of at 512 byte.
