SYMPTOMS

After you use the Accessibility Wizard on a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer to change the icon size, and then use the Accessibility Wizard again to restore the default settings, the Start menu may be unreadable, either elongated or shrunken.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior, restart your computer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

The Start menu may appear elongated if your screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768 pixels, and it may appear shrunken when your screen resolution is set to 800 x 600 pixels.
