OFF2000: Cannot Print from File Menu (266649)

SYMPTOMS

When you click Print on the File menu in any of the Microsoft Office programs listed at the beginning of this article, you may receive a blank Print dialog box, and your document may not be printed.

NOTE: You can print your document by using the Print button on the Standard toolbar in the programs listed at the beginning of this article.

CAUSE

This problem may be related to a conflict with the IBM Client Access/400 software that is used to connect Intel-based workstation computers to IBM AS/400 computers.

NOTE: Other programs that modify the printers list also may cause this problem.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, contact IBM to determine whether you have the latest available update. The latest service pack for Client Access is available at the following IBM Web site:

WORKAROUND

To temporarily work around this problem, remove or turn off the IBM Client Access/400 software.
