SUMMARY

This article describes how Application Center 2000 determines the initial set of applications that are set up the first time that you create a cluster controller.

MORE INFORMATION

When you install Application Center 2000, every Internet Information Services (IIS) site on that computer is defined as an Application Center 2000 application. This is done simply to help in the definition of your applications. Each IIS site will always be a Web site resource in the AllSites application, which will be replicated as a part of synchronization.

Having each Web site as its own application allows adding of additional resources, such as files, data source names (DSNs), and COM+ applications. Having separate applications also allows finer granularity for manual deployments of individual sites.
