CIPM Encryption Fails on Windows 2000 (266212)

If encryption is enabled for an Incoming Document, this stage is never correctly reflected on the Incoming Agreement pipeline on the Partner's side, the Encrypt stage of the Incoming Agreement pipeline stays empty even after updating profiles. The Security tab of the Partner Transmit profile that maps to the Incoming Agreement of the encrypting Partner indicates Secure other instead of Secure using Auto SMIME, which is expected after updating profiles.
CAUSE
This functionality does not work on Windows 2000.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Site Server 3.0 Commerce Edition.
