Works 6: You Cannot Drag Text From AOL into Works Portfolio or Works Word Processor (265935)

SYMPTOMS

When you are in an America Online (AOL) chat room or you open an e-mail message in AOL, and you then attempt to drag some text from the chat room or the e-mail message into Microsoft Works Portfolio or a Microsoft Works Word Processor document, the text is not successfully copied into the Portfolio or the Word Processor document.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, follow these steps:
  1. In AOL, select the text that you want.
  2. On the Edit menu, click Copy.
  3. Switch to Works Portfolio or Works Word Processor.
  4. On the Tasks menu in Works Portfolio or the Edit menu in Works Word Processor, click Paste.
