The Close Button Is Not Visible After White on Black High Contrast Display Mode Is Selected (265547)

SYMPTOMS

Under Accessibility Options, when you click the Display tab, click Use High Contrast, click Settings, and then click White on black, the Close button of the Collections bar in Microsoft Windows Movie Maker is not visible.

RESOLUTION

To work around this behavior, use one of the following methods:
  • Position your pointer to the top right corner of the Collections bar in the left pane of the Windows Movie Maker window. The Close button is displayed when the pointer is on top of it. Click the button to close the Collections bar.
    -or-

  • Use the Black on white high contrast color scheme in Accessibility Options. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
    2. In Control Panel, double-click Accessibility Options.
    3. In Accessibility Properties, click the Display tab, click to select the Use High Contrast check box, and then click Settings....
    4. In Settings for High Contrast, under High Contrast color scheme, click to select the Black on white check box, click OK, and then click OK.
