Encrypted Compressed Folder Password Saved to Local File (265131)

After you use the Encryption feature with Compressed Folders, a Dynazip.log file that contains the password that you used to encrypt the compressed folder is created in the Windows folder.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, delete the Dynazip.log file after you encrypt a compressed folder.

You can encrypt files that you compress with Compressed Folders to require a password before anyone can extract the contents of the compressed folder.
When you create a compressed folder or you right-click an existing compressed folder, there is an Encrypt command on the File menu or on the shortcut menu. If you click Encrypt, an Encrypt dialog box that contains Password and Confirm Password boxes is displayed. After you specify the password, a Dynazip.log file is created to log the encryption process for the compressed folder. This file also contains the password you specified and could be used to gain access to the encrypted file.
