When you place the <home> directory or a virtual directory for the Windows Media Unicast Service on an NTFS drive, the NetShow Services user account must have read permissions on the root of the drive, in addition to any ASF files that you plan on streaming. If the permissions are incorrect, you may receive error c00d0017 in Windows Media Player.
