Computer Does Not Enter Standby Mode While MS-DOS Prompt Has the Focus (264545)

When you try to use Standby mode, you may be unable to do so.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur when an MS-DOS prompt is the active window (has focus).
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, note that Standby does not start until you either close the MS-DOS prompt, or shift focus to another program.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
