SYMPTOMS

If you select a playlist from the menu or from My Playlists in the Media Library, the playlist may not be displayed correctly in the Now Playing pane of Microsoft Windows Media Player 7 (WMP7).

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if the first entry of the WMP7 Playlist is an .asx file.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, move the .asx file to the bottom of the playlist.
