XFOR: Exchange Connector for Lotus cc:Mail Does Not Start with Event IDs 32 and 96 (263726)

SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus cc:Mail may not start, and may generating the following event ID messages:

Event ID: 96
Source: MSExchangeCCMC
Post office name cc:Mail_post_office specified on the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus cc:Mail matches Lotus cc:Mail addressing on the connector site. This is not a valid configuration and the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus cc:Mail cannot continue.

Failed to initialize the internal configuration object. Ensure that the Microsoft Exchange Connector for Lotus cc:Mail has been configured correctly.

CAUSE

This issue is most likely to occur because one of the two following causes:

If you click the Configuration container, double-click Site Addressing, and then click the Site Addressing tab, the CCMAIL address is the following:
at CCMAILPO
where CCMAILPO is the name of the cc:MAIL post office. This is an invalid configuration.
An inability to bind to the Exchange Server directory service.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, perform one of the following steps, as applicable:

Click the Configuration container, double-click Site Addressing, click the Site Addressing tab, and then change the CCMAIL address to something other than the name of the cc:MAIL post office.
Make sure that the HomeDSA, Organization, OrgUnit, and CommonName values are correct in the registry under the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeCCMC\Parameters
