Steps to Reproduce the Problem

  1. Create a new message in Outlook.
  2. In the new message, click Properties on the File menu.
  3. Click to select the Delivery receipt requested check box.
  4. Click to select the Save copy of sent message check box, click Apply, and then click OK.
  5. Send the message to a distribution list so that it appears in you Sent Items folder.
  6. Open your Sent Items Folder, and then open the message that you just sent after the icon in the Sort by column (on the left-side of the From column) appears as an envelope with a lowercase "i" (without quotation marks) next to it. After a couple of minutes have passed since you received the message, this icon appears.
  7. Click the message, and then click Reply All.
The message is placed in your Outbox folder where it remains and eventually causes the NDR.
