SYMPTOMS

When you open a document in Microsoft Word or the Microsoft Works 2000 Word Processor, and the Works 3.0 document contains footnotes, the text of only the odd-numbered footnotes may be displayed.

In the Works 2000 Word Processor, the text of the even-numbered footnotes is not displayed, even though the footnote numbers are present.

In Word the text and the numbers of the footnotes are missing.

When you open the Works 3.0 document, it does not matter which Works version you select in the File of type box.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if the document that you open is a Microsoft Works 3.0 Word Processor document.

Note The Works 3.0 text converter does not convert footnotes correctly.
