SYMPTOMS

When you move a pointing device that is connected to a PS/2 mouse port, the internal PC speaker may make a clicking sound.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:
  • The computer stops responding (hangs) or is busy.
  • The PS/2 mouse port continues to receive input.
