SYMPTOMS

After you install Internet Explorer 4.x with the Internet Explorer Administration Kit, the installation process may stop responding when it reaches 84 percent during the Real Audio portion of Setup.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Real Audio is dependent on video drivers and it may have this problem with certain video drivers.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, change the video driver to a standard VGA driver or replace the video card with another model.

WORKAROUND

In order to successfully complete the installation, you can rename the file, R32nsie4.exe that is included in the Internet Explorer package. A red "X" may appear when you install Real Audio, but this should not cause any errors.

STATUS
