Internet Explorer 5.5 Not Installed After Windows 2000 Upgrade (262891)

SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade to Microsoft Windows 2000, Internet Explorer 5.5 is no longer installed.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the Windows 2000 Upgrade Exception pack that is included with Internet Explorer 5.5 downgrades Internet Explorer to the version that is included with Windows 2000.

RESOLUTION

To use Internet Explorer 5.5 again, reinstall it after you upgrade to Windows 2000.
