XCCC: Changes to Conference Resource Are Not Applied to Previously Booked Video Conferences (262629)

SYMPTOMS

After you change a video conference resource, previously booked conferences that reference this resource do not reflect the changes.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the new Conference Technology Provider (CTP) configuration does not update previously booked conferences. By not updating previously booked meetings, the configuration guarantees that the meetings occur as expected, at the scheduled time.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, remove and recreate the conference. The new conference is updated in the CTP configuration information.

NOTE: When the CTP configuration information has been modified, you must restart the Microsoft Exchange Conferencing Service for the changes to take effect.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
