Hyperlink to Order Summary Page Is Not Available to Anonymous User (262170)

SYMPTOMS

The confirmation page that appears after a user makes a purchase includes a hyperlink to an order summary page. However, when the user completes this purchase as an anonymous user, this hyperlink is not available. For example, the confirmation page includes the following information:

Your order number is: 1002

where 1002 is a hyperlink for a registered user.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the user must log on to enable a hyperlink.

RESOLUTION

The App Default Config resource contains a property called Form Login Options that contains the following options:

1 - Requires users to login when they access the site.
5 - Requires users to login at time of purchase.
6 - Login optional at any time.

By default, the Retail site form is set to 6. To change the value of the form logon option for the Retail site, perform the following steps:
  1. Open the Commerce Server Manager.
  2. Click to expand the Commerce Server Manager, Commerce Sites, Retail, and Site Resources folders.
  3. Right-click App Default Config, and then click Properties.
  4. In the Properties list, click Form Login Options.
  5. In the Selected Property Value list, type the desired value (1 or 5), based on the preceding list, and then click OK.
  6. At a command prompt, type the following command to reset Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS):

    IISRESET
