When you try to install the Hewlett-Packard (HP) Precision Scan Pro version 1.0 program, you may receive the following error message:
A USB interface has been found. To use the scanner with USB, this interface needs to be upgraded. Exit this installation and refer to the file USBupgrade.doc on the HP scanning software.
Note that you may receive this error message even though your HP scanner is installed and working correctly.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, contact HP to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue or a newer version of the HP Precision Scan Pro software.
