XADM: Error When You Use Exchange System Manager to Read Exchange 5.5 PF Information (259007)

After you upgrade a public folder store to Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, you cannot manage it with the Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 Administrator program. This is to be expected. However, in some mixed deployments, Exchange Server 5.5 private information stores may point to an Exchange 2000 public information store. If you are managing an Exchange Server 5.5 store through the Exchange Server 5.5 Administrator program and the home public folder server is in fact on a computer running Exchange 2000, when you try to view any public folders, you receive the following error message:
An internal processing error has occurred. Try restarting the Microsoft Exchange Administrator program or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer, or both.
WORKAROUND
Use Microsoft Exchange System Manager to view the public folders.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
