SUMMARY

You can use the ClickLock feature to select or drag without holding down the mouse button. After you turn on ClickLock, you can set ClickLock by briefly holding down the mouse button. To release ClickLock, click the mouse button again.

You can also adjust how long you must hold down the mouse button to turn this feature on once it is enabled.

To enable the ClickLock feature:
  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Mouse.
  2. On the Buttons tab, click to select the Turn on ClickLock check box.
  3. Click Settings to adjust how long you must hold down the mouse button to set ClickLock.

    To test the time setting, point to the title bar of the dialog box, hold down the mouse button, and then drag the dialog box. To release ClickLock, click again.
  4. Click OK, and then click OK.
