Invalid zcConnectedDirectoryID Values Present When Processing Disconnection Flow in Account Joiner (258592)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Metadirectory Services 2.1

This article was previously published under Q258592

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Metadirectory Services (MMS) 2.1 (build 261), the disconnection flow script for a management agent (MA) generates different results when you evaluate it in Account Joiner than when it is evaluated by the Importt program. Specifically, when you disconnect a connector space object from a metaverse object, the metaverse object may be left as a disconnector. The metaverse object will be a disconnector if it has its only connector removed. If you then test the zcConnectedDirectoryID attribute to verify that this is the case, the test is not successful because Account Joiner is not using an updated view of the attribute. The metaverse object appears as if it is still joined to one connector space object.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because the processing logic in Account Joiner differs from the corresponding logic in Importt.
