The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Exchange 2000 Conferencing Server
This article was previously published under Q258050 SYMPTOMS
Conference participants are not able to connect and communicate correctly with the Exchange 2000 Conferencing service. Participants that attempt to connect to the conferencing server, may receive the following error message Web page: You are not authorized to view this page
You might not have permissions to view this directory or page using the credentials supplied.
HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden
If participants attempt to browse a list of all published conferences, such as http:// server/conferencing/list.asp, participants may receive the following error message Web page: The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
HTTP 404 - File not found
CAUSE
This behavior occurs because the Exchfilt.dll Internet Server API (ISAPI) filter is not loaded or is not working properly. To verify this, you can manually place the participants language directory into the URL. For example:
http://server/conferencing/usa/list.asp
If the participant receives the List.asp, the Exchfilt.dll file is not working properly.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, verify the following settings: Internet Services Manager- Default Web Site
- Properties
- ISAPI Filters
Filter Name: Microsoft Exchange Conferencing Web Status: Loaded Executable: X:\Program Files\Microsoft Exchange Conferencing Server\exchfilt.dll Priority: Low
