SUMMARY

In Outlook, you may want to send an e-mail message to more than one person but not want the recipients to know that other people are receiving the same message. This article describes how to hide e-mail addresses from other recipients.

MORE INFORMATION

To hide e-mail addresses from other recipients, type your address in the To field and the recipients' addresses in the Bcc field of the e-mail message:
  1. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Mail Message.
  2. In the Untitled message, on the View menu, click Bcc Field.
  3. In the box next to Bcc, type the recipients' addresses.
NOTE: If a recipient uses Microsoft Outlook 97 with the original Internet Mail service, the contents of the Bcc field may be visible.
