SYMPTOMS

When you drag text from one e-mail message to another, you may see a busy pointer when you move the pointer over the target e-mail message.

CAUSE

This issue can occur when you click the right mouse button to drag the text.

NOTE: You might expect to see a context menu when you release the mouse button.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, copy the text from one e-mail message to the other.
  1. Click to select the text you want to transfer, and then click Copy on the Edit menu.
  2. In the target message, click Paste on the Edit menu.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
