Explanation of Updates
OLE Automation Update for Errors in Non-Gregorian Calendars
This release of Automation files (version 4514) addresses an issue when using Automation to calculate dates when the current date calendar is not Gregorian. This version also includes a solution for maintaining accurate regional settings information on Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT 4.0
platforms that cannot use the Windows 2000 solution.
In addition, when a program attempts to load a corrupted picture file, Automation now displays an error message, and the program continues running.

This release of the Msjet40.dll file (version 4.00.2927.17) addresses an issue when using Microsoft Data Access Objects (DAO) to examine stored query properties. A previous version of Msjet40.dll (version 4.00.2927.4) removed the stored query's properties in this scenario.

OE Fix for vCard
This release of the Wab32.dll file (version 5.00.3013.3100) addresses an issue that prevents Outlook 2000 users from exporting or saving contact information to a VCF file. A previous release of the Wab32.dll file (version 5.0.2919.6600) does not allow the export or save to work.

This update addresses an issue that prevents users from entering ideographic characters in the Dictionary tool of the Input Method Editor (IME), if the user installs the Global IME in addition to IME2000.

Updated Crypto Service Provider (CSP) for Outlook 2000 SR-1 (Windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0 Only)
This release of the Exchcsp.dll file contains bug fixes and improvements for Outlook 2000 SR-1. This file needs to be applied if you have run the patch update to SR-1 over Outlook 2000 and you use encryption in Outlook.
To apply this update, you must determine the strength of encryption on your computer and start the appropriate CSP installer.
To determine the strength of encryption on your computer, use the following steps:
- Start Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- On the Help menu, click About Internet Explorer.
Note the Cipher Strength (40-, 56-, or 128-bit). That is your encryption strength.
To start the appropriate CSP installer, run one of the following EXE files:
- If the Cipher Strength is 40-bit or 56-bit, run Out40.exe.
- If the Cipher Strength is 128-bit, run Out128.exe.
