SYMPTOMS

When you open a workbook that contains macros, you may not be warned that the workbook contains macros.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • The workbook contains macros written in the Microsoft Excel 4.0 (XLM) macro language.

    -and-

  • The workbook has been saved in one of the following file formats:

    • Text (Tab delimited)
    • CSV (Comma delimited)
    • Unicode Text
    • Text (Macintosh)
    • Text (MS-DOS)
    • CSV (Macintosh)
    • CSV (MS-DOS)
    • DIF (Data Interchange Format)

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
