XWEB: Selected Folder Is Refreshed When a Folder Tree Is Collapsed (255375)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server

This article was previously published under Q255375

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Outlook Web Access (OWA) with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, when you click Folders, the folder list is displayed in the left pane. If a top-level folder with subfolders is selected (the top-level folder contents are viewed in the right pane), and you expand and collapse the folder tree, when you collapse the folder tree, the view of the current folder in the right pane is refreshed.

This causes increased network traffic by refreshing the folder view when it is not necessary to do so.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
