SYMPTOMS

If you browse to a Web site and you specify a nonstandard port at the end of the address (for example, www.webaddress.com:180 ), you may receive the following error message:
The page cannot be displayed

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you omit http:// at the beginning of the address.

RESOLUTION

Type http:// before the Web address.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
