SUMMARY

This article describes a workaround that you can use to clone from one picture or cutout to another in Microsoft PhotoDraw 2000, version 2.0.

NOTE: Cloning from one picture or cutout to another is unsupported in PhotoDraw 2000, version 2.0.

NOTE: To use this workaround, you must group the pictures. If you ungroup the pictures, the clone is lost and cannot be recovered.

To clone from one picture or cutout to another:
  1. Put both pictures or cutouts in one picture.
  2. Click the first picture, press and hold down the SHIFT key, and then click the second picture.
  3. On the Arrange menu, click Group.
  4. Use the Clone command in the usual fashion.
If you do not want one of the cutouts to appear in the final image, you must position the unwanted cutout outside of the picture area before you click Group.

If you print the final image, the unwanted cutout is not printed because it is outside of the picture area (and therefore off the page).

If you want to create a soft copy of the final image, save a copy of the image as a finished collage, and then crop the finished collage to remove the unwanted cutout.
