PPT2000: Unable to Open PowerPoint HTM File Via E-Mail (249665)

SYMPTOMS

When you receive a PowerPoint presentation HTM (.htm) file as an e-mail message attachment, an error message similar to the following may appear when you attempt to open it:
The page cannot be displayed

CAUSE

This problem can occur if only the presentation HTM file was sent and not the supporting files in the presentation files folder.

WORKAROUND

The only way to open the presentation HTM file is when the supporting files are included, and the presentation is opened from the hard disk drive and not via an e-mail message attachment.
