XWEB: Error Message: Unknown Error. Try Simplifying Your Search (249500)

When you attempt to search for a user name from the global address list by using the Find Names dialog box in Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA), if you enter a space, you receive the following error message:
Unknown error. Try simplifying your search. CAUSE
OWA returns search results that include all users in the global address list because the space is considered to be a wildcard character.
WORKAROUND
Narrow the search for names in the global address list by specifying characters in the Search field.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
