"Trap 14" Error During Suspend on ACPI Computer with SRAM PC Card (249001)

A "Trap 14" error message on a blue screen may occur if the following conditions exist:
- The computer uses Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (APCI).
- A static random access memory (SRAM) PC Card is inserted in the PC Card slot.
- The computer is entering the Suspend state.
RESOLUTIONA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes.
