When you use the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer to show a presentation that contains animated GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) images, the images are not animated during the slide show.
CAUSE
The PowerPoint Viewer is restricted to the capabilities of PowerPoint 98. PowerPoint 98 does not have the capability to play back animated GIF images that you have inserted into a presentation. For additional information, click the article number below
