SYMPTOMS

When you use the Install New Modem Wizard to install a U.S. Robotics Sportster 28,800 external modem in a computer running Microsoft Windows 2000, the wizard does not recognize the modem and detects it as 'unknown'.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.
