Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 1 (SR-1) is a free update to Office 97.

The Service Release contains a series of fixes for each program in Office 97.

Office 97 Service Release 1 is available for download from the countries listed below. Please note that because of fulfillment variances outside of North America, CD versions of SR-1 may not be free as they are in the U.S. and Canada.

International Versions of SR-1

The Office 97 Service Release 1 (SR-1) Patch is now available in the international languages listed below. There are no Office 97 Service Release 1 Patches for the Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean, simplified Chinese, Thai, traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese languages. Please contact your local subsidiary, listed on Microsoft International, for more details.

International English

If you purchased Office 97 in the U.S. or Canada, you are running the U.S. English version. If you purchased English Office 97 outside of the U.S. or Canada, you are running the International English version. If you are uncertain whether you need the U.S. or International English Patch, download the International English Patch, which is designed to work on U.S. English and International English versions of Office 97.
