SYMPTOMS

The update described in this article causes WebTV for Windows to conform to recently developed protocols for receiving and displaying interactive content, allowing you to receive the below information:
  • The dates and times of the programs broadcast on channels available in your area.
  • Interactive text and graphics accompanying programs that are broadcasting interactive content.
In addition, the update enhances file system security associated with the Unidirectional Hypertext Transfer Protocol (UHTTP), which is the means used to transfer interactive content to your computer.

RESOLUTION

This update is available on the Microsoft Windows Update Web site, for computers running Windows 98 Second Edition with Web TV For Windows already installed:
