To import Microsoft Outlook Express contacts into Streets and Trips or MapPoint, follow these steps:
  1. Start Outlook Express.
  2. On the File menu, point to Export, and then click Address Book.
  3. Click Text File (Comma Separated Values), and then click Export.
  4. In the Save Exported File As box, type the path and the file name of the file that you want to export in the Save exported file as box, and then click Next.
  5. In the Select the fields you wish to export box, click to select the fields that you want to export, and then click Finish.
  6. Quit Outlook Express.
  7. Start Streets and Trips or MapPoint.
  8. On the Data menu, click Import Data Wizard.

    Note For Microsoft Streets and Trips 2000 and Microsoft Streets and Trips 2001, click Import Data on the File menu.
  9. In the Files of Type box, click Text Files (*.txt, *.csv, *.tab, *.asc), click the file that you created in step 4, and then click Open.
  10. Under Choose the delimiter that separates your fields, click Comma, and then click Next.
  11. Select a column heading for each column, and then click Finish.
