Windows 2000 Professional Hangs After IntelliPoint Version 2.2 is Installed (244479)

This article was previously published under Q244479 SYMPTOMS After you install Microsoft IntelliPoint version 2.2 on a
computer running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional, and then try to restart
the computer, the computer stops responding (hangs). If you press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, nothing happens. CAUSE The IntelliPoint version 2.2 software is not compatbile
with Windows 2000. RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, download the IntelliPoint software
version 3.1a for your version of Windows from the following Microsoft Web site:
