The Vizact 2000 Trial version is designed to expire 45 days after the first time that you run it. Under typical circumstances, 15 days before the expiration date, you begin receiving alerts that identify how many days remain before the Trial version expires.

Because the Vizact Trial version expiration date is related to the computer's system clock, any unusual changes to the system clock can cause the Trial version to stop functioning properly.

If you have changed your system clock and the Trial version is not functioning properly, use one of the following methods to fix the problem.

Method 1: Return to an Expected Time Frame

Set your system clock to a time no earlier than two hours before the time that you last successfully started the program. For example, set the system clock to the same day or to the day after you last successfully started the Trial version. The Trial version should continue to function. The total time it will continue to run will be the difference between 45 days after the initial installation and the date to which you reset your system clock.

Method 2: Reinstall Your Operating System

The only way to reset the Trial version is to reinstall your operating system. After you reinstall your operating system, the Trial version will run for 45 days from the date that you first start it. To properly reset the Trial version, the operating system needs to be installed to a new folder. If you have Windows installed in C:\Windows, reinstall Windows to C:\Windows2, or any naming convention complaint folder name other than "Windows."

Exceptions for Year 2000 (Y2K) Testing

There are exceptions to the clock detection which allow for you to test for sensitive dates related to the end of the 20th century. When the system clock is set to a date between December 15, 1999 and March 15, 2000 or December 15, 2000 and March 15, 2001, the Vizact Trial version will start again at an earlier time if that earlier time is no more than two hours before the last successful start of the product (outside of the date ranges allowed for Y2K testing).
