SYMPTOMS

When you are logged on as either a Limited user or a Panel user, you are able to insert both of the following objects:
  • Microsoft Graph 98 Chart
  • Microsoft Organization Chart 2.0
even though your user account does not give access to these programs.

CAUSE

The two programs listed in the "Symptoms" section of this article are not true stand-alone programs like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The Mac OS sees them as programs related to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

MORE INFORMATION

Mac OS 9 allows you to create users who have limited access to programs on the computer. When you set up the accounts for these users, you specify exactly which programs that users can run when they are logged on. If you give users access to one of the Office programs, this also gives them access to the related programs that are shipped with Office.
