SYMPTOMS

When you are browsing Internet sites, text in some of the buttons or hyperlinks may be missing or may be illegible.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if the following conditions exist:
  • Your computer contains an ATI Rage 3D Pro AGP 2x video adapter.
  • Your display is set to use large fonts.
  • Your screen area is set to 1600x1200.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, use the appropriate method:

Reduce Your Screen Area

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double click Display.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Move the Screen Area slider to a lower screen area setting, and then click OK.

Configure Windows to Use Small Fonts

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double click Display.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Advanced, click Small Fonts in the Font Size box, and then click OK.
