WMS: Failed to Create Program Error when Creating Station (243631)

SYMPTOMS

The Windows Media Services can sometimes fail to create programs and streams when creating a new station, generating the following errors:

Windows Media Administrator Failed to create Program with Program Manager.

-and-

Windows Media Administrator Failed to create/update station with station manager.

This error might not happen unless you have deleted all the programs and stations and then try to create another station using the QuickStart wizard.

When naming a new project, keep in mind that the name of the project is case-sensitive.

To avoid this problem, when naming a new project, do not use a name that is the same (including case) as an existing project.
