Windows NT Server Upgrade for SBS Does Not Finish (243453)

SYMPTOMS

When you run the Windows NT 4.0 Server Upgrade Wizard for Small Business Server (SBS), you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Small Business Server Upgrade Wizard Setup failed to complete. Try running Upgrade Wizard Setup again.

CAUSE

This error message can occur if the drive on which SBS is installed is full. There may be no more disk space available.

RESOLUTION

Delete unnecessary files from the drive, or move the paging file to another drive to free up disk space, and then run the SBS Upgrade Wizard again.

MORE INFORMATION

When this situation occurs, a Windows NT Diagnostics (Winmsd.exe) report shows the drive as:

Total: 0 KB, Free: 0 KB
