SYMPTOMS

When you are in a conference with people running both NetMeeting 2.11 and NetMeeting 3.0 or 3.01 clients, Chat may not prompt you to save the current list of messages when a new participant joins the conference.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

NetMeeting 2.11 was designed to prompt you with: "Do you want to save the current list of messages?". NetMeeting 3.0 and 3.01 does not prompt participants to save the current chat session when new participants arrive. Instead, you are prompted to save the chat session when you try to close the chat session.

Conversation messages from before the new participant arrives are still stored in the chat sessions of the original participants. There is no need to prompt to save the chat session until the end of the session.
