To configure the SideWinder Dual Strike to move your game character in diagonal directions:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Game Controllers.
  3. Click Microsoft SideWinder Dual Strike, and then click Properties.
  4. Under Game Action, click the game action you want to edit.
  5. On the Keystrokes tab, click Clear, and then click Yes.
  6. Press the key on the keyboard that controls forward or back movement in your game, and then press the key that controls left or right movement in your game.
  7. Click OK.
