This article was previously published under Q242613

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project, Usage Column and Usage Row gridlines may be displayed incorrectly or may not be displayed at all in usage views such as the Task Usage or Resource Usage view.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when you format Usage Columns or Usage Rows gridlines so that the Normal line is blank and the At interval line is drawn at an interval other than 1.

WORKAROUND

To display the Usage Column and Usage Row gridlines at intervals other than 1, you must display a Normal line. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Format menu, click Gridlines.
  2. In the Line to change list, click Usage Columns.
  3. In the Type list (under Normal), click any line. Optionally, change the color of the line.
  4. Under At interval, click the interval and the type of line that you want.
  5. In the Line to change list, click Usage Rows.
  6. In the Type list (under Normal), click any line. Optionally, change the color of the line.
  7. Under At interval, click the interval and the type of line that you want.
  8. Click OK.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft Project listed above.
